Mint Julep

Maybe it is the warm weather right around the corner, or the Kentucky derby coming up, or maybe it is daydreaming of being able to sit on our porch and enjoy the beach that has me secretly wanting to concoct delicious cocktails and enjoy the warm lake breeze.  Maybe my desire for a specific cocktail lies in it being the "it color" of the spring/summer season, or the fresh taste, or the smell but I specifically want a mint julep.  I used to grow mint in our garden at our old house and without fail it would return every year in abundance.  We had so much of it that I created and mixed up a mean mojito.  Just ask my friends how delicious it was!  I even created a secret ingredient ; ) which I will share with you someday.

But the proper way to drink mint julep is out of mint julep cups.  So I'm debating between these:

Elegance Silver 2 3/4" Mini Beaded Mint Julep Cup (90376)
Elegant Silver with mini beads, $5.49 a piece

Two's Company 1941-41 Set of Four Mint Julep Cups in Gift Box
Set of 4 pretty cups in a gift box for $86

Product Details
Love the pineapple detail on this Reed and Barton Williamsburg version, $60

JD Imports Aluminum Julep Cup, 4" - Set/6
JD Imports Aluminium Mint Julep cups, 4"-set of 6, $32.96

So now I have cups narrowed down, anyone have a good recipe?
